30 September - 30 October, 2002: Los Andes Patagonia Argentina. Flying Camp. The Patagonia soaring society will host flying at Chos Malal airfield in Argentina. This is open to any glider pilot. Chos Malal is the ideal launching point for accessing the wave produced by the 'Cordillera del Viento' (The wind mountain range) and the Andes. Many flights in excess of 1000 km have already been achieved and these were mostly in the most modern generation of glass gliders. The wave also routinely reaches a height of 1000m (over 30,000 feet) so gold and diamond heights can be achieved. For more information go to www.patagoniasoaring.org.ar.

15-16 March, 2003: Torrey Pines, CA. Mid-Winter Torrey Pines Vintage Sailplane Regatta. The Vintage Sailplane Association and the Associated Glider Clubs of Southern California will host the Classic Mid-Winter Torrey Pines Vintage Sailplane Regatta.
