The Soaring Society of America, Inc., is run by a 26 member Board of Directors, 20 of which are elected by the general membership by region to serve a three year term, and six who are elected by the Board of Directors each year to serve one-year terms. The policies and programs implemented by the Soaring Society are decided by the Board of Directors, in meetings held bi-annually in the Summer and Winter. All Board meetings are open to the general membership, except during times of Executive Sessions. Members are invited and encouraged to share their comments and concerns with any of the Regional Directors as well as the staff of the SSA. If we can help you in any way, please let us know.
