There are over 250 soaring sites in the United States. Some soaring sites are Commercial Operations and others are local soaring clubs. The Soaring Society of America can help you find local soaring sites from several sources. The latest edition of the Directory of Soaring Sites published by the SSA is enclosed with your new member kit. You may want to start by looking there for places near you.
In addition, you may want to look in your phone book under: aviation or soaring. If nothing is listed there, you may dial up the SSA's Homepage on the WWW for more information. The URL (Internet address) is http://acro.harvard.edu/SSA/ssasites.html. This listing is available by state to make it easier to find places near you.
