Canadian National Soaring Competition Mon 7 July 1997 Practice Day 2 Today's forecast was much better after the passage of the cold front yesterday. The weatherman predicted 3-4 kts lift up to 6000 ft. Since this was a practice day and everyone had to be back for the pilots meeting at 1900, short tasks were again set for the day. For the FAI classes a 146.7 km task was set (Woodstock - Stratford) and a 124.6 km task was set for the Sports Class (Plattsville - Woodstock - Reid's Field). The grid was launched at 1315.
