An anticyclonic cell lies east of Otago. Forecast: Generally light winds but tending SW ovr much of the contest area. Winds tending east at Omarama especially late in the day. Rain associated with convergence should remain in the east. Soaring: Broken cloud cover lifting and breaking with moderate thermal development by early afternoon. Localised overdevelopment and isolated towering CU with showers especially late afternoon.
