Monday (Day 5) was another hot soaring day with a 3.5 hour task and speeds approaching 65 mph. Joe Owensby won the day again in his HP-18 and snatched 1st place (4692 points) from Malcolm Stevenson who had the misfortune to land out in his ASK-21 and drop from 1st place to 9th. Tom Gilbert is still in a very close second place with 4689 points after finishing 5th for the day. Alfonso Jurado is also flying very well in his ASW-20 and now holds third place overall with 4579 points. Bob Macys (Ventus) and Ron Clark (LS-6a) are close behind with 4414 & 4408 points respectively.
